Official TCRC updates in relation to the negotiations with Canadian Pacific Railway will be posted on this page as soon as they are available:

May 19th 2012:

  • 72 hours strike notice at CP...

Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) which represents some 4,800 workers at Canadian Pacific has issued today a 72 hours strike notice that will take effect on May 23rd at 0:01.

May 17th 2012:

  • Benefits and Annual Vacation During a Strike or Lock-Out...

This letter is to inform the membership that, during a legal strike, your day to day benefits are not covered by the Company’s benefit plans. Should it be necessary, the TCRC has purchased emergency coverage from an outside source to cover any unexpected emergency claims during this period.

May 14th 2012:

  • Negotiating Bulletin 12...

Your Bargaining Committee, which includes Sisters Shelly Brownlee and Kari Essery of the TCRC-RCTC General Committee, met with the Company in the presence of Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services (FMCS) in Toronto commencing May 7.

April 30th 2012:

  • Negotiating Bulletin 11...

Their concessionary demands at the bargaining table are designed to reduce your pension value and your working conditions so they can deliver something to satisfy the shareholders. It is also clear to us that CP is relying on the Federal Government to eventually take action against the Union members and to help CP.

April 2nd 2012:

  • Negotiating Bulletin 9...

The strike ballots have been circulated and we urge everyone to cast their vote and to demonstrate your solidarity in this fight to protect your working conditions, pensions and wages.

March 9th 2012:

  • Negotiating Bulletin 8...

As noted in our previous Bulletin No 7, earlier this week we filed charges with the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) against the company for Bargaining in Bad Faith.

February 22nd 2012:

February 15th 2012:

  • Negotiating Bulletin 5...

We stand together, united and strong, and we will fight this latest attack on your jobs, benefits and pension that you have worked long and hard to earn in the service of the Company.

January 31st 2012:

  • Negotiating Bulletin 4...

We stand together, united and strong, and we will fight this latest attack on your jobs, benefits and pension that you have worked long and hard to earn in the service of the Company.

December 12th 2011:
